In reply to Barton Lewis. You are very welcome. I feel "lemmming" metaphor is quite accurate for a lot of things in the digital age. There is rarely logic or proof of concept but every follows, just out of fear of missing out.

This was helpful and kind of a relief to read; I have always felt like a lemming jumping over a cliff with the social media icons; just doing it because everyone else does, but intuitively somewhat uncomfortable (I guess that’s what jumping over a cliff feels like.) Anyway, great post, thank you.

In reply to Ernst Wilhelm Grüter. Vielen Dank, lieber Ernst Wilhelm. Ich denke, dass das leidenschaftliche "Ja" sagen zu einigem das ebenso leidenschaftliche "Nein" sagen zu vielem bedeutet. Nur das "Nein" sagen, fällt ungleich viel schwerer.
